How many followers do you have? What is your message to your listeners?

Social media has taken the essence of leadership and reduced it to numbers, style, political affiliation, and marketing profitability. Relational influence with our community has historically been a prime factor in establishing rapport with potential followers. Today good looks and the proper phrases provide an easier substitute than mingling with the crowds. New social media influencers can achieve success leaning on political divides while the Christian generation fumble opportunities to impact society as desired.

God-fearing believers have the significant purpose of being righteous influencers to society. We do not have to elude the shadows of what others have achieved and duplicate their strategy for success. Our role is to continue to be a God-revering flavor and serve as phenomenal light to those who surround us. The polarization created due to politics has sequestered us into distinct tribes and thus hinders the ability to make new acquaintances. Therefore, we must make a great effort to demonstrate empathy companioned by genuine service to those near us.

In the long run, twenty-five coworkers and friends will outweigh the payout for twenty-thousand social media followers. If your salt is distinguishable, and your light is marvelous, your peers will change their beliefs and actions, and God’s rewards do not deteriorate!
